Cultural Bridge Programm supports arts and cultural organisations across the UK and Germany to develop partnerships that explore social arts practice. By enabling new and existing connections, Cultural Bridge supports a growing network of organisations committed to sharing expertise and skills, exchanging ideas and collaborating on artistic practices and projects that explore themes and issues faced by communities across both countries.
As one of these partnerships, we are proud to actively contribute to promoting intercultural exchange and creative collaboration. In our current project, Stellar Quines Theatre (Edinburgh) and Mpower Film Girls are working together to explore the intersection of writing and film. Through this collaboration, we are creating platforms that enable female artists to tell their stories and develop innovative cinematic works that address societal issues.
In both countries, Scotland and Berlin, we are going creative in production and offering young participants, especially women of color, the opportunity to work alongside professional artists of color. This collaboration not only encourages the exchange of ideas and techniques, but also builds the self-confidence and visibility of young female artists of color. Our initiatives aim to raise awareness of cultural diversity and encourage dialogue between different communities.
